Today is my birthday people! Give your best wishes for me! :D

Today i have been in this world for 19 years. Nothing spectacular in my birthday I think. So I will write what is the real happen at here right now. :D

I watch mata najwa at metro tv, the recorded one. The tv show tells me about bungkarno’s mercusuar project. The project was build futuristic monumental building in Indonesia.
I got 2 messages until now; I have been spent 3 hours and 10 minutes since me as 19 years old student. :D.
Okay I feel sleepy, I will continue writing later.
FYI, I will date with Anindita Wisesa at 11.00 AM today. I am curious what is inside her gift box. Wkwk.

Burjo

Burjo has become a lifestyle for most of students in Jogjakarta. Beside burjo provide cheap food and beverage that fit with student income, burjo also open 24 hours so it enables its customer to have some food anytime they want. It’s very useful for student with full of activity in day or even night.

Burjo known with its Sudanese owner, although it’s food is not Sudanese food. People believe that there is a difference between Sundance cooks and Javanese cooks, Sudanese cook seems like specialized for cook burjo foods like nasi sarden or nasi telor.

Burjo have some special menus that available in every burjo in Jogjakarta. Indomie telor is the most famous food in burjo. It’s ordinary instant noodle that cooked with egg for its addition. Second is nasi goreng. Nasi goreng is like ordinary nasi goreng as well, but with hand of Sudanese cook its taste different. Nasi sarden also available in every burjo. It contains rice, mackerel fish, and some vegetables. And the symbol of burjo is burjo food itself; burjo is abbreviation from bubur kacang ijo. It’s mixed of green bean and red rice with coconut milk. And all the food is under 10.000 rupiah.

Hygiene issue becomes major problem that many people talks about. From its kitchen that looks dirty and doubtful food freshness because it’s open 24 hours to unhealthy ingredients. It’s equal with price so that cheap makes customer have reason to choose. However, although they know the bad of eating in burjo people still trust burjo to kill their hunger.

Finally, burjo is a total solution for students who have limited income. But eating burjo too often is not good for our body.

KIK Controversy

KIK has been taking big attention now days. That’s because it’s affected all stakeholders of UGM. KIK changing how we entering our campus, and start to changing everything. In this article I’ll explain my opinion about the controversy of KIK; pass card for the next nation leaders.

UGM is known as campus for public. Established in kingdom of Jogjakarta’s land, UGM is close with people of Jogjakarta. They believe that UGM is the gate for their bright future. With low cost tuition fee, it makes UGM become favorite university for all people of Indonesia.

Campus for public, that’s the reason that the cons side says to refuse KIK. By collecting money from whom who hasn’t owned KIK, UGM is violating its philosophy. They want UGM open to everyone as its service to be campus for public.  Its make sense that they disagree with university policy, considering it’s the first for university in Yogyakarta applied “entering fee” for public. Another reason of KIK is to reducing air pollution in UGM environment, but is that necessary? University bus could be wiser than collecting money for compensation with KIK.

The pros side of the KIK said that it’s needed to keep UGM save from criminal action especially vehicle- based criminal. For example, there are many case of student’s gang war in UGM before UGM applying KIK. Another reason is to reduce vehicle in UGM and it will reduce air pollution in UGM.

Policies in democracy environment always create pros and cons side. KIK for the cons has changed UGM history and philosophy as it’s the first time UGM become “commercial” to public. For the pros, it’s the big move for UGM to take into account for greener future.

So, who is the right one? Let the democracy decide. For me personally agree with the purpose of KIK, but disagree with its price tag. Is it really no free lunch in this world? What i know is Indonesian spirit is helping the other without considering money; we call it “gotong royong”. But overall i agree with KIK, may be it just a beginning. Like the quote in management, “the boundary between past and future is decision that we make today”.
